Kim began a steady career of exercise at the ripe age of 11. Her first love was running and basketball but after training for 2 marathons and a torn ACL she quickly realized that the repetitive pounding was breaking down her body and not strengthening it. In searching for something more, she stumbled into an intermediate yoga class in 2001, on a lunch break, and the yoga love affair began. She instantly wanted more and realized this was what her body was craving. Kim has studied and completed a year long teacher training with Robert Boustany and going back for more, with his advanced training program. She also regularly attends classes with a variety of instructors around the Houston area to keep her practice fresh. ”Yoga has taught me so much more than I ever imagined. I find myself teaching anyone who will listen, including my 3 children. We practice breathing, stretching and challenging ourselves on a daily basis. I never thought yoga could change my life as it has and I want to share that with my students.” Kim believes that yoga is a combination not only of mind and body through breath but also strength, balance and flexibility and everyone will excel if they are motivated. She strives to balance her classes with focus, laughter and a lot of challenges. Visit Kim's personal website at www.yogaheights.com |
